Ebuka Ifeanyichukwu

Ebuka Ifeanyichukwu is a doctoral candidate of Political Communication at the University of Delaware, with research focus on civil discourse, depolarization, intercultural communication, and social movements, in both American political communication and African diaspora studies contexts. His dissertation examines intra-racial framing and identity between African Americans and African immigrants in the U.S.
His current work extends into escalation dynamics in U.S. foreign policy, including a paper applying Barbara Tuchman's Guns of August framework to the 2026 U.S.-Iran war. He has published in outlets including Media, Culture & Society, Presidential Studies Quarterly, and the Howard Journal of Communication, on topics ranging from separatist agitation discourses, civil dialogue interventions, to stand-up comedy as political and cultural resistance. He has presented his research at conferences including NCA, ICA, APSA, MPSA, and SPSA. He has served as a Research Fellow at UD's Center for Political Communication, Research and Teaching Assistant in Department Communication.
