Associate Professor and Fellow of the Institute for Policy Research & Catholic Studies
Barrueco is also the Director of Latin American and Latino Studies and the Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Psychology. She is engaged in the local and national communities, as reflected by her prior appointments as Board Vice President of D.C. Bilingual Charter School and the Advisory Committee of the American Psychological Association Presidential Task Force on Immigration.

Puerto Rican Mayor Maria Meléndez Altieri discusses life after Hurricane Maria with Sandra Barrueco, IPR Fellow and Director of the Latin American and Latino Studies Program (LALS). The program hosted the Mayor on January 23, and provided students an opportunity to engage with her during a roundtable discussion entitled, “A Year after the Hurricane: The Trials and Triumphs of Post-Maria in Puerto Rico.”
